Scholarship recipients for 2025 must be graduating high school seniors who attend school within the boundaries of one of the following counties:

Cecil County, Maryland
Clarion County, Pennsylvania
Dallas County, Texas
Davidson County, North Carolina
Duplin County, North Carolina
Elbert County, Colorado
Erie County, Pennsylvania
Harris County, Texas
Jones County, North Carolina
Kankakee County, Illinois
Kinney County, Texas
Klickitat County, Washington
Las Animas County, Colorado
Lenoir County, North Carolina
Madison County, New York
Person County, North Carolina
Pinal County, Arizona
Scotland County, North Carolina
Suffolk County, New York
Tarrant County, Texas
Vance County, North Carolina
Venango County, Pennsylvania
Warren County, North Carolina
Washoe County, Nevada
Wayne County, North Carolina
Scholarships will be granted to students pursuing a 4-year, 2-year, or certificate program at an accredited community college or university located in the United States with a fall 2025 enrollment start date. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate an interest in a career in the renewable energy industry or a STEM-related field, but all eligible students are welcome to apply. Should the student not enroll in a college or certificate program in fall 2025, the scholarship will be forfeited.
Proof of enrollment will be required prior to fund disbursal. Scholarships will be paid directly to the college or university- there are no exceptions to this method of disbursal. Should the Energizing Tomorrow's Leaders scholarship impact another scholarship, the student can elect to forfeit the scholarship or proceed with the method of disbursal outlined above.
The scholarship program is open to students within the boundaries of one of the eligible counties who are attending public, charter, or private high schools; or who are home-schooled.
